Aeroponics IoT Urban Farming
Aeroponics came from "aero" which means air and "ponos" which means labour.
The QCUrban- Tech project is design to induce and capture the hearts of many people from the community starting at Batasan Campus of Quezon City University to grow plants which may result in easing the food expenses and cost for farmers when crops might get damage for future calamities and dependability of humans' biggest source of food located at the different regions of the country. The main objective of the project is to is to develop an IoT - Based Aeroponics Urban Farming System for Quezon City University - Batasan Satellite Campus. The proponents believe that through the use of technology in agriculture we can be able to endow foods on our plate by just growing plants.

The project aims to nurture study and practice agriculture merging with the modern technologies. It is developed to demonstrate the implementation of Internet of Things (IoT) to the plants operated remotely and automatically. During the experimentation, users will be able to determine the ideal urban farming method that is way more effective than other methods.

QCURBAN-TECH FEATURES
Temperature Sensor. Can monitor & detect weather condition of plant box. Temperature is one of the biggest factor in growing crops, too much and too less could affect the crop's growth.
Humidity Sensor. Can monitor & detect the moistness and air temperature of the plant box.
pH Sensor. Can monitor & detect the Potential Hydrogen of the Water-Nutrient Solution. pH imbalances can block plants ability to absorve important nutrients.

Luminosity Sensor. Can monitor the amount of light inside the plant box. Excessive light exposure will lead to pale & yellowish leaves. Stretched out stem is caused by lack of sunlight.
TDS Sensor. Can monitor & detect the purity of water. Helps in maintaining the proper level of concentrated salt in water.
Water Temperature Sensor. Can monitor the temperature of the plant box's water. Low temperature for irrigation damages the roots, high temperature damages the structure of the plants.
